Brendan Robertson has over 20 years experience internationally in the Beauty industry. Starting his career at the prestigious Sydney hair salon “Synergy” he went on to established himself amongst editorial magazines such as Elle, Grazia and Cosmopolitan, before moving to London where he spent the past 10 years. Brendan is currently based in LA.
Brendan has always been fascinated by the concept of beauty and how Make Up and Hair Styling can be used to transform and accentuate everyone’s innate beauty. He has become known for his creativity and originality along with managing difficult hair such as Afro and mixed race, styling extensions and dark skin makeup. Brendan’s work is polished with an edge that focuses on selling your best features. His favourite challenge is taking a known face and transforming it in an unexpected and original way.
Brendan was nominated for “Best Makeup in a Fashion Film” at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival in 2013 for Haus of Flora. Brendan believes the most rewarding experience of his career was working with Paul McCartney to transform four French horn players into the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club band for the opening of the Live 8 concert in London’s Hyde Park; “Meeting a Beatle was enough in itself but being part of such a huge concert for such a great cause made it even more special” says Brendan.
